convert #2
i do not think the comma is needed.
I have been talking with one of the interns (college senior) about straight razors as he has seen a few that i have taken to the office to show off.
He went straight out to ebay, beat me to a 6/8 Hessenbruch (which needed some TLC), i had loaned him Lynn's dvd and when he got the razor he rinsed it with rubbing alcohol, stropped it on a belt, lathered up and shaved, daily for 4 days. when he caught me at the office, he showed it to me i was aghast! there were 4 nicks in the edge but he swore he was getting the best shaves of his life except for a little pulling and a few nicks. His face actually looked like he had been using a can lip to shave with, perception is reality.
I was nice and loaned him a a couple of Bokers, a king cutter and a red injun as well as a Tony Miller second strop. i finished cleaning up his razor on Sunday so i will be returning it Wednesday (i hate going to the office).
Convert #2 for me!Be just and fear not.

Except for at this site, I'm still in the closet about my straight razor use. I figure that if others knew I was shaving with a straight, the two slices on my left jawline would permanently scare them off using one! LOL! I plan to start recruiting when I can shave myself competently.

Thanked: 90Good for all of you who've been able to convert others.
I've yet to convert anyone. Maybe I'm just not vocal enough about my shaving preference. I try not to hard sell too much, but maybe I'm not advocating enough for the cause. Hard to say.
Either way, I'm always happy to hear about new converts. Keep up the good work

I shave with a Feather AC (not a proper straight I know!) but seeing it in the bathroom convinced my Grandad that he should dig his out... he has and is now a re-convert!
