Evening, right after the shower. I've always preferred taking a shower at night rather than in the morning.
Also, with a 2 y.o. to prep in the morning, I have at most 5 minutes to myself before going out the door. Actually, even when I don't have to take care of the kid, I'm usually in my car no more than 10 minutes after getting up.

Thanked: 14Morning. My beard grows to fast, so even with a BBS or DFS I have a shadow by lunchtime the next day. I did an evening shave last Saturday and had the horror of SWMBO asking me at church on Sunday if I skipped shaving.

slow beard growth so it's every other day in the evenings and morning on Sunday before church. Seems the evening shaves last longer though and gives me time to "mess around" with the razors.(occasionally i hear "are you okay in there?").

I am NOT a morning person.... so I get up as late as possible, and that means little time for shaving.
So it's a night shave for me. That also gives the added benefit of letting any razor burn or nick heal overnight before heading to work.Recovered Razor Addict

Definitely evening shaves for me! Gives me the chance to relax and take my time to myself after a long day....also the redness of the neck I get once in a while has a chance to go away over night

Thanked: 101I have a pretty heavy & quick growing beard so I do 0600 & around 2100. I am retired / disabled so I could do it when I want but I am a fairly early riser so 0600 is a great time., wife grandkids & dughter aren't up yet so I have some peace & quiet to enjoy.

Thanked: 18Evening after the kids asleep and all is quiet.shower first then a hot towel for a minute or so. The brush is soaking in hot water and a couple drops of water on the soap to soften it up. My routine seems to work for me. Ymmv
