I'd only shave my head if I could get some type of preview --- man, there might be warts, moles, creases, birthmarks, pimples, ingrown hairs, cigarette butts, loose change, forgotten Tattoos (King of the Hill), treasure maps, the beginnings of appendages up there ---- or maybe, just maybe, the pleasant glow of a baby's butt.

Brendon, go with the Shaolin look ---- I hear the bald chicks dig it.Last edited by jaegerhund; 04-21-2007 at 07:47 PM.

Thanked: 1587Bugger!
Well, having the day off (cough - research day), I just went to make a head shave video with my Sony digital 8 camcorder. Stupid machine! Something round and rubbery fell out of the tape compartment, which I'm sure is not good. Anyway, there may have to be a short delay in transmission while I figure out how to jam the tape into the machine sans rubbery round thingy.
...
UPDATE: turns out the round rubbery thing is important - machine keeps beeping at me and recommending that I eject the tape (which is not in the machine). Head shave video is on permanent hold while I try to get this fixed.
(To all my fans out there, many apologies. Hang in there - you'll get your fix of "The Jimbo" () as soon as I overcome these technical difficulties...chin up! )

Thanked: 1587Yeah, it's a stupid little barrel with rubber on it - you wouldn't think it would be that important.... We took the camcorder to the UK and packed it in a suitcase. I guess something came loose during transit. Oh well.

Thanked: 1587Could be. The camcorder was bought "on the cheap" - we wanted digital but they were expensive at the time. So this thing records onto tape digitally, apparently. You can then connect a cable to your computer and download the footage.
So it definitely could be a tape roller, 'cause it uses tapes. (Don't s'pose you know how to put one of them back in, do you?)
