No worries mate - I'll take it to the repair guys and see what they say.

If i were shaving my head (I am not shaving my head), I would have a difficult time convincing myself to do so.

I assume that are parts of the head I simply would not be able to see when shaving with the straight and that is a little disconcerting to me.

Yes, there are parts where you can't actually see the blade touching the skin, but you can (almost) always see your hand or the handle of the razor, and this can be used as a guide to angle and position in those areas. Or just use feel. Or both.

The only reason I don't do the head shave with a straight on a regular bassis is the time factor. For me I get a great shave with the straight up top but I just don't have the time to do it every day.

You can't see your mouth but you still stick a sharp tined spear in it.

Practice does bring the time down, but yeah, getting the time to practice can be a little difficult I guess. I was curious the other day and timed myself (had been reading the "how long for a shave" thread) at about 7 minutes, but that was pushing it a bit, I must admit. (It also helps that I've got very little hair on top of my head )
