To be fair it's only the "pictures or it didn't happen" in different clothes. But yes choice of words can easily skew interpretation.
I don't have a photo of my Bruno razor at the moment but if it is a requirement then it is in the Bruno blades thread and I can link it

The most I've paid is around $90 for a kamisori. That's including shipping, so more like $70. My most expensive razor was gifted to me, though. It was a bit more expensive than $90, more than I would have probably spent on it, but still not excessive (by my definition).

I have overpaid for a razor or two though. €40 when its value (in my eyes) was closer to €10, in that ball park. Not so much regrets, as they were at least decent razors, but lessons.

No customs/bespokes for me. Not my bag, baby.

As is often said, the value is determined by your desire to own.

OTOH, as is often said, a fool and his money are soon parted.

It is a wise policy to not publically value razors on this forum. JMO

I am capped at just under $500 US for any of three customs.. Williams, BB & Waterhouse.

Now that I think about it, it's kind of absurd given I never wanted to be a collector of any kind. I could sell just a third of what I have and go on a pretty nice vacation. hmmm...maybe time for some thinning of the herd.

Think it was about $550 for my W&B anchor. Love that razor and use it nearly everyday. Hones, now that's another story. I might have been one of the last two to buy a BD from ebay, lol.

I've never regretted a single purchase, no matter how stupid. But oh, how I regret some of the gems I let slip away.

I typically get paid to shave with expensive razors
Granted, I use them only once.

The most I ever paid for a razor iirc is 180 + shipping or so for the Lancet point I used to figure out the Lancet grind when I made Ed's smiling Lancet.

I sold it again for what I had in it. Now my most expensive razor is the one I bought with my then-girlfriend, 15 years ago. 75 Euro, 11/16 Otto Busch Weltmeister. I only have 3 (permanent) razors.
