Size: 10.8 KB I have just seen an advertisement for this ( I think I am entering the early stages of RAD )
It is apparently a Boker limited edition 5/8 Damascus stainless steel open razor.
The price on it is £579.00, which is about $888.
I am not buying it by the way.
    Would you?

    No.

Most I have ever paid for a razor was $425 for a Zowada. Indeed it is a super blade, but one is enough.

Paid $160USD for a PRC Hydra back in February of this year. With the exchange rate at the time, it worked out to being ~$200.00CAD. That being said, I am paying more than that for a razor + restoration. I'm just paying it to two different people.

A Boker for that price? No, but I have spent that much on a custom from Tim Zowada.

I'm in the market at this very moment for a custom. That will then take the cake.

We should watch ourselves here. Keep the opinions to ourselves or this will be shut down. Not hard to see this thread getting away from us.

This topic is borderline. No problem with saying how much you paid for you're most expensive razor however a discussion of whether they are worth it or not or anything smacking of valuation (even in a roundabout way) is verboten.

Boker periodically sells that particular razor. I have an older series with black scales but the same razor. It's a super shaver and the price was reasonable.

I have two razors that I paid over $500 Canadian for each of them. One a full custom and the other has special scales and is a somewhat collectable of a razor. When I bought each of them I didn't flinch, but it makes me raise a brow when I think about collectively what I have paid for the entire bunch.

$1000+ for a Robert Williams custom, and I love it. It is a Damascus blade with pink giraffe bone scales.
