I have learned that only big Palmeras shave good. That!
Seriously. William Hawcroft, of Sheffield, was killed by a runaway bull whilst being in the street.

I have found in life that the bigger the secret the simpler it is. If it truly takes skill people will share their knowledge. Many people here are comfortable in their skills and will share their knowledge. If you are serious and practice you can match them and maybe even surpass them.
Don't waste your time looking for the "dirty little secret". If there is one no one is going to tell you!

No little secrets, I think. Dirty or otherwise. All about quality and fitment/condition. Same as in any collectible.
We have an advantage to actually use the collectible for it's intended purpose.
I suppose it makes the collectible more valuable?"Don't be stubborn. You are missing out."
I rest my case.

yes and we have discussed this before.
There are a small percentage of razors that simply shave better. They cut across all brands and models. Most probably in their fabrication everything was done perfectly. If you have one of these razors you will know it. Many think they do but they really don't.No matter how many men you kill you can't kill your successor-Emperor Nero

Thanked: 580Not so much a dirty little secret, more based on fact.
I heard of a local gent who shaved for 20 years with nothing more than a Puma razor, and a strop. No mention of any hone whatsoever. I have dabbled in the concept to a certain degree, 50 shaves on a Puma, 70 shaves on a Bengall using nothing but leather.
In my limited experience, a straight after 20 shaves is better than a Gillette Muck 3 cartridge razor with 2 shaves on it.Into this house we're born, into this world we're thrown ~ Jim Morrison
