Well, my biggest issue is the fact that the package probably sat 19 hours in the back of the pick-up vehicle. When they're usually returned nightly as far as I'm aware.
Is that huge delay a result of living off the mainland or is BC's postal service usually that slow? I was able to get a package from China in 14 days....

Thanked: 4826Postal service outside of the lower mainland is slower than most of the rest of Canada. We are the only region in Canada that does not receive any airmail. I have no idea why, but several years ago Canada Post stopped airmail service here, which causes about an extra week of transit time. There are many places in Canada that are far more remote that get better mail service. It is part of the price we pay to live in paradise.

Just looked at some photos, I think slow post is a price I'd be willing to pay to live there.

So, this maybe odd or perfectly reasonable to some of you gentlemen, but I am going to treat this as a continuity and keep notes here on my samples. Any input on my samples or anything else that has been previously mentioned is still applicable and welcome. I may also add more samples to this if I get some at a later date. Especially the highly praised MdC, if I can find some sub $15 samples.
The history of my soap usage is pretty poor in comparison to many people here. I have used 4 different actual shaving soaps and probably 12-15 hotel-samples because I'm forgetful or too lazy to pack shave cream. The 4 so far are VdH (old unscented stuff from Walgreens from 5 years ago, might still have it?), Burt's Bees shaving cream (decent, but brushless and goes on fairly thin, decent scent and glide), AoS sandelwood cream and hard soap. So far I prefer creams, hard soaps seem to be more of PITA to load the brush for me. Albeit, this could be a result of near brick-hard water, stupid minerally and shown to have radium in it (yum!).
First and foremost, I am already happy with my purchase. These are very reasonably sized samples, especially for a couple bucks. All products are labelled a heckova lot better than I would have. I have a total of twelve samples the flavors and brands can be seen in the pic below (also listed incase the pic goes wonky in a few years...). I normally shave Friday nights, but have about 6-7 hours to make the difficult decision of what to use first.
Ed. Jagger:Sandalwood, limes & pomegranate, Cooling Menthol and Aloe Vera
Proraso: Green tea & oat(white) Aloe & Vit. E(blue) Sandalwood (red) Euca. & menthol(green)
ToBS: Cedarwood, Mr. Taylors, St. James and Jermyn Street

Hope you like the Proraso red and green - they're my go to creams. The red for winter and the green for summer, but I mix 'em a lot.

Thanked: 580Arko is great, even though the scent is not to everyone's liking.

You guys don't understand, it's the Union. Local 678 of the African Species Union which places those Gorillas in your local post office to handle packages. There are only so many to go around and when they are off or call in sick or go on vacation the packages must wait until they return.
Last week I was going to get the mail and my letter carrier was delivering and I noticed he was throwing the packages against the curb. I asked him what's going on with that. He said the package was pristine and they just couldn't have that. The Gorilla at local was on a hunger strike or something. No matter how many men you kill you can't kill your successor-Emperor Nero
