If you care about what happens to any of your things mention them specifically in your Will and who they are to go to. Also be sure your Will is up to date at reasonable intervals. Nothing like naming a person as executor/executrix of your estate and when the time comes they have predeceased you.

In any event, I really don't care what happens to any of my shave gear after I die; won't need it then. The major things that I do care what happens to are taken care of.

Well Bob, at least your co-workers didn't present YOU with this book when you retired. My closest co-worker was considering getting me one as a "don't let the door hit you on the way out" sort of gift.

On the other hand, this item isn't such a bad idea for those who don't know where to start. I guess I'm in an unusual spot myself..... I only have the Mrs. to worry about, and I do try to make sure everything is taken care of, if it's me first. It's not so much that I worry what's going to happen with my stuff, but rather that she won't get what it's worth, and I'm not telling her until I'm gone, or I'll be going sooner rather than later!

I'm actually planning on trimming back to my most cherished items, the rest I'll move before I'm gone.... or at least I HOPE I'll move them before I'm gone.

as this has been talked about before i've thought about it more i guess what really matters to me is that those who remain are taken care of. they need to know which ones are worth money so they can get the most out of them. i'm hoping that the one son who is interested in such things will at least think enough of me to keep a few as a remembrance (he can have them all if he wants). if we all go at once (which would be ideal) then i don't care what happens to my stuff.

I told my wife to go on this site, contact Bill W. and send them to him for the give away. Only have about 10 of my personal razors. Maybe 10 to 15 for sale.

After being badgered by the Swiss Miss to photograph and describe my stuff I am now doing so. Since I have to make pics the SOTD is seeing some weird gear.

She wants details on all the gear with as much info as i can remember. Some razors I know quite well and others will be described as "approximates".

Where it goes after I am gone will be up to her and the boy. I just hope none of it is given away.

Mine will be passed on to the male family member that shows the most interest in using them, which, as of now is....

"PIF" is an acronym: Pay It Forward.

I guess I meant the "giveaway" crew/gang here on SRP. As JimmyHAD used to tell me, "Ya can't take it with ya" (which never stopped anyone from acquiring more, lol)

You can have everything, and still not have enough.
I'd give it all up, for just a little more.

I have nobody to leave any of my belongings too. When my friend passed away, he asked me to take care of his cats, and left me a satchel full of gemstones to pay for their care. Problem is, I dont know anything about stones, or where to sell them, how to describe them etc.

So, for my belongings, my family will take them and sell them I'm sure, but every item has begun getting labeled. Like "Escher Hone" $500 Is the stone worth that much? No, but believing that I paid such a price will prevent them from just putting it out at the yard sale for .50 cents!
