Default What will happen to your straight shaving related collection after you die?

At the moment I am drawing up my will.

One of the questions that came up was: what is going to happen with my collection of straights and hones? My heirs haven't got a clue. My collection is rather modest, a few K at the most. My guess is that some of you guys have a much more valuable collection than I have. My partner nor my kids are interested in it. They won't know what to do with it. I don't want it to end up in a junkyard.

So, what have you planned for your collection after you passed away?

I've also thought about it... seriously. Like yours, mine ("all" of it) might be worth $1K-$1.5K... a bit more, with shaving brushes. I figure on having it sent to the PIF forum. My shaving soaps, creams, and afterscents are already spoken-for.

    Live long, Kees... and prosper!

You can have everything, and still not have enough.
I'd give it all up, for just a little more.

For a young guy like me that's a depressing thought 😐

I have no idea or interest in the value of my kit but I'm hoping my son will take up the mantle before I'm gone.

my daughter who is 8 yrs old right now will get them as she has her own shaving kit an shaves with me every time I shave. She loves it an asks me all the time if we can shave again. So I believe she will get them an if she has sons they will be passed on.

My daughter often sits in the bathroom watching me "smooth my face" and between passes she "smooths my face" with a brushful of lather. She's almost 3.

    It's great fun 😒

OK, seriously I have not given it any thought as of yet, my collection is well under 1k, but lately more and more of my friends and associates have been passing away and all to young at that so these deaths have caused me to consider my family's future as I bring probably 90% of our income my death would bring a large financial burden for my wife and three kids.

According to my wife If I loose one eye, my right arm, and half a foot at work my wife will be set for life.

Admit it you mom talked about your dad that way to.
