If the cut was pretty deep you might have two stitches on the inside that you can't see??

I've had several nasty cuts thru life, but only two have been stitched. All others were done with butterfly, bandages, gauze and tape, and some with CA.

You forgot the duct tape Mike. Fixed one that way too in the past while camping.
