I assume you paid by credit card? Call them and lodge a complaint, telling them that you did not get what you ordered and the company refuses to take it back.

Thanks for the heads up regarding a sketchy distributor.
I wonder if it is kosher to invite them to respond and let them know just how much traffic this and sister forums have and how tight we draw.

That is a good Idea! I will call right now; maybe I can actually get my money back. That and if the SRP members let their dissatisfaction be known might get these people to shape up. By the way I looked over the razor last night and thee were a number of things that did not seem right.
1. There were fingerprints on the blade, and black spots.
2. I can see the rainbow reflections that tell me there is tuff-glide on the steel. Dose TI use tuff-glide?
3. The blade passed the hanging hair test right out of the box. Has anyone had a new TI pass this test without even stropping it?
I am thinking at the very least the blade was opened and handed, and possibly delivered to a customer who honed it before returning it. I am thinking that TI did an unusually good job on this one. The razor promises to be a good shaver, and after a few years I may calm down enough to actually shave with it, but for now it is either going back or into the closet.

1. These could be from the person who sharpened the blade at the TI factory.
2. Yes, the blades come coated from the factory to prevent rust.
3. It is entirely possible that a factory sharpened TI blade would pass the HHT test. The general consensus seems to be that TI does a pretty good job at sharpening the razors from the factory, and this should be enough to pass a HHT.
I don't think that you can know that they opened the blade just from these three pieces of "evidence". Even if they did open the blade, I highly doubt that they would take the time to sharpen the blade and/or strop and oil it. This would have been done at the factory. I think that the reason that you should be able to return the razor is because you did not receive what was advertised on the site. It seems like this should be a very simple customer service matter.

Thanked: 9I agree with David:
This is not really evidence that the razor has been opened. And I have had a TI pass HHT right out of the box (but the shave was not very nice)
If you received something different from what was advertised - the KC MUST take it back. However, if there was a text disclaimer that the KC cannot guarantee a notch and a round point may be shipped - then I am not so sure. Of course, good customer service should accept it back without any issues - simply because you are not satisfied. Heck - what if it were a notch but you didn't like the balance? Would the KC make you keep it? Not cool
Good luck

I bought the same model (sort of) years back (~4-5?) when they did not offer the notch tip, and it was the fanciest TI I could afford at the time (Classicshaving did not exist as an online store, only an eBay stop, and the only other place to by TI was Premiumknives.com...but I digress). SO, mine is of the 'round point' variety.
I have to say that it is an amazing shaver. If they do not take it back, it is not as if you are stuck with a lemon. I'm sure someone here might be interested in taking it off your hands for you.
