Thread: 3,000 SRP Members !!!!

First of all I would like not only to welcome our newest members, but thank all of our membership for the outstanding contribution that each of you have made to the straight razor world every day by participating in this forum.

SRP was the first and original Straight Razor Forum on the Web and has continued to be the place to go for straight razor information as a result of our outstanding membership. I know many of you also belong to other forums and I think that's great. When there was only one our world was small. Now that there are many, I say "Mission Accomplished". To see 3,000 members here is an awesome accomplishment.

Thanks to each and every one of you and a huge thanks to the folks that make this place function every day, namely azjoe and dwessell and to our moderators as well !! You guys rock!!

That really is a truly wonderful accomplishment. I can only wonder at what it must have been like in the beginning - perhaps a few doubts about whether it would take off? Seeing it now, with the outstanding group of people who frequent our forum, must give you a great sense of pride and accomplishment, and rightly so

So I'd like to say thank you Lynn. This place is a rare gift - somewhere people from different walks of life and parts of the world can come together to share a common passion, exchange ideas, learn from each other, nurture our skills, marvel at the skills of others, and enjoy each other's company. I for one will be forever grateful that this place exists.

Yes congratulations Lynn on a job well done.

Numbers just thinking aloud here, with 3000 members here and the number of other dedicated shaving forums that are around all with growing member lists also. And with us all acquiring some sort of shaving acquisition disorder, the numbers of $ changing hands all over the world is a mind blowing scenario that must have put a lot of people into new careers and directions in life that you could never imagined a few years ago. I wonder what boost to the economy this has had to say the tax department for instance. Mind you it has done nothing to my economy, quite the opposite really.

Kind of makes you believe in miracles doesn't it? Soon Gillette will be coming out with the latest high tech development to replace their 5 blade system, a straight razor!
