I'm a newb, so these are the "best" I can come up with:

    5) I used to use my Gilette Atra blades for 2 to 3 weeks at a time.

    4) I justified straight razor shaving to my wife by telling her how much money I'd save on blades...

    3) In the last month, I've spent close to $300 just to get my initial kit (Wapi, two shave ready razors, Dovo strop, hone)

    2) I practice stropping in the morning when I should be downstairs having breadfast before work.

    1) I hone two handed...

    Only five?

Ok well I'll try to narrow it down a little.

    5. I only have on e brush, a boars hair, I don't expect I'll get another ever.

    4. I hate handles on a stop. Only the regular will do a handle doesn't feel right.

    3. My hones are Tiger brand slip stones bought because I was too cheap to pony up for a Norton or Coticle Now I probably never will.

    2. The soap I use the most is the same one that gives me the worst shaves of all the soaps I own. I am completely addicted to its scent and have purchased multiple cakes of it.

    1. I have actually spent less than a hundred bucks on shaving stuff. I have 4 different hones, 2 strops, 10 different soaps (right now), and over a dozen razors.

    5. my regular brush is a $6 special from CVS.

    4. i am obsessed with W&Bs right now, i have 2 of them and always looking for more, however i have not yet used one to know what the shave is like.

    3. the soap i use most is williams. actually, the only soap i have.

    2. all the shaving cream i have is from art of shaving. and it is the free samples. no tubes.

    1. when i started shaving, ever, it took me 6 years to finish my first can of gillette foam.

    1) I've had RAD in the past and its back again although I'm not acquiring and its torture.

    2) I like Jasmine, such a sweet scent.

    3) Sometimes I think forking out the $ to get my whiskers removed with that lazer treatment or whatever would be a cheaper permanent way to have BBS skin.

    4) I believe I could hone a straight just as good as Lynn.

    5) Mama Bear soaps are on my blacklist of soaps.

These are in no particular order.

This thread is great... One of my all-time favs. Let's see what I can come up with:

    5. I used to use a Mach3 cartridge for four to eight weeks. I would shave directly against the grain with no prep. :eek

    4. My first straight wasn't even a Zeepk--it was a Zeepk wannabe.

    3. I own six Tony Miller strops, but the one I use the most is the first one I got. And I find myself yearning for more...

    2. It's taken me well over a year to get to the point where I can get close, comfortable shaves with little or no irritation. I still haven't achieved 100 percent BBS, and I'm not sure I ever will.

    1. My beard, for all the trouble it's given me, is a pathetic, scraggly-looking affair when I go more than a day without shaving. And despite the fact that I shave with a huge bare blade at my throat every day, I have no hair on my chest.

Wow, not sure if I feel better or if I'll slink under the nearest rock after I hit "Post"...

    Lemme see now...what to confess.

    1) I'm cheap and so I only bought the head of my brush and carved the handle out of stone, traded a razor for my current strop, bought a $20 dollar coticule and ended up making a video with it for people that, as grattitude, gave me a $220 dollar coticule.

    2) I don't understand the fuss about nortons...but because I'm so cheap I probably never will cause I won't buy one.

    3) Collected a massive (I think so at least) amount of soaps and creams but only use about 6 of them.

    4) Got into straight shaving not because I was looking for something better but simply for cheaper M3 blades on the web (cheap remember). I saw the straight and thought: I'll never need to buy new blades again!!"

    5) I used an el-cheapo razor for a week (while trying to hone it all the time) and as a result looked like I got into a daily fight with a cat for about 2 weeks.

    1) I've spent way more money on this I have yet to shave with a straight (awaiting re-
    delivery)

    2) I've purchased every hone under the sun and several books on sharpening -
I justified this by telling myself I can sharpen my chisels and chef knives better by
    owning more hones

    3) I practice stropping with a pencil - at least until my razors arrive.

    4) If my first shave is a disaster - I'll never give up or surrender

    5) I need to make sure my first shave is not a disaster so I can justify buying a
