Thanked: 1I have a Paki razor that I like and shaves great.
I occasionally shave with a triple blade cartridge razor and canned good. Just to see how it is in comparison and because I have a huge surplus.
I use a shavette on occasion as well as DE's
I think I took my TI out of my shave rotation with my honing skills. Tricky blade.
I tried "Honing" an old razor on the back of my Norton flattening stone once.

I don't get what the big deal is. You strop, shower, then shave. Plus, if you get lather on your clothes, it's just a pain. If you get lather on your body, you can just shave it off (or wipe it- whatever).

1- I got interested in straight razor shaving by watching "The Three Stooges" in which Moe was a barber and shaved curly with great pain, sound effects! You can just imagine if you have not seen that scene!
2. Once I started shaving with a straight I counted a total of 14 cat scratch looking cuts on my face during my second week.
3. I always find myself saying "slap the latigo" while stropping. I find myself saying that many other times throughout the day to myself! God that sounds dirty!!!
4. I have checked Hand American's site daily for over a year waiting for it to comeback permanently with an inventory of products. Multiple times per day.
5. I have checked Tony Miller's site every day since early summer. I keep vacilating on ordering. My wife has hinted that she might get me one for xmas but I want to get two different models. I'm thinking of ordering a Paragon while waiting for her to order me the more expensive Artisan.

Thanked: 5omg *rubs eyes to make sure*...a new HA update!!!! honestly though, keith brings it on himself when he gets emails from cranky ppl about how his site STILL isn't up. when you post messages like "we'll be adding new items in the next few days, when we say the site will be up tuesday, we MEAN tuesday (what a joke), or not much longer, we're purging files and will be up soon" and then nothing happens for at least a month and theres no update to at least give ppl the slight impression that you give a damn...well i just can't be sympathetic. bad form
and then there's Tony...boy oh boy. Everyday you check his site there's something new being added or in the works, or a friendly message explaining any issues. A sharpen/finish strop! you gotta be kidding me *opens wallet*
