Diabetes?
I have had diabetes for 36 years. Since I have been a member here, I have come across a couple of other members with diabetes. I felt that it would be a good idea to share the support & friendship that has come about with others here.
To this end, I have started "Diabolic Shavers" a social group for any Type of diabetic & their family members & friends. Come & join us. We promise not to bite any more than your average blood test.
Mr Mod sir, please feel free to move this thread to a more appropriate board, if necessary.

Thanks Spike for starting that special corner for those of us who are even more different than those folks who are different than the normal folks. You know, folks who use Straights are considered a little 'differant' than most, so us diabetic straight users have to be even more differentdifferent lol.

Ok, I admit I am a noob, but how the heck do you find the social groups?? I have searched all over the place, though obviously not the right place. Help!
Thanks,

On the navigation bar, click "Quick Links" and then click "Social Groups." You're there!

"Diabolic Shavers" ?
Well, I guess I can join up. I am a type 1 diabetic and have been on insulin for almost 50 years.
Dang, that's a long time, ...and a lot of shots.

That is seriously impressive Steve. You will be our most senior member! I could work out how many shots you have had. I would rather not though. It is not scary, as such. Just impressive. Really really impressive. There should be a medal for taking that many & lasting that long. With bars!

Thanked: 3795So the advantages of straight shaving has expanded again. No need for a lancet, just apply the test strip to your latest shaving mistake! I knew spike point razors were good for something.

I've had Type one since I was 3 years old. So that makes about 22 years now for me. I've been on a pump for maybe the last 9 years.
