Thanked: 11Thanks Mark! Spike has also delivered in the past and one of our extended family is a Midwifery Lecturer who has already told me this one is hers and she won't think twice about battering anyone else who tries to muscle in!
I'll have you on standby just in case though.
Hell hath no fury like a midwife scorned...............
Good luck!
Mark.....

Thanked: 131Silver and Spike:
Many, many HUGE congratulations on this fantastic news. I am sure you will be great parents. My wife and I are so pleased for you both and look forward to regular updates on how things are going.
Some thoughts:
1. If you have a home birth and the doctor forgets his scalpel, you will both be able to provide him with a substitute.
2. If you have a boy Spike can teach him to shave when he gets older. If you have a girl, Silver can teach her how to shave when she gets older.
3. Silver dear, there are other ways of being an SRP:UK 'how to' demonstrator. This particular how to is one that the rest of us CANNOT perform. Biologically.
4. Those attending the next SRP:UK meet up just had anything they could bring SEVERELY trumped. No amount of Zowanda or Maestro Livi with mammoth ivory scales can trump a squid.
5. Silvers profile can now justifiably be lurked on in the claim that the visitor is 'looking for baby news'.
6. With all that time at home Silver will have to take up leatherwork more aggressively and.... oh I dunno.... start to make strops?
In all seriousness guys HUGE congratulations. Here's hoping for a healthy, happy squid. You'll be a great family.
Much love
'Sandy Kidney'

Thanked: 271Congratulations Spike and Silver ... you've embarked on a wonderful journey. Between raising your children, marrying them off and helping with your grandchildren, Grazia and I figure that you'll be busy for about the next 50 or 60 years.

Wow, this is awesome news. I'm so happy for you. Sounds like it's your first, no? I remember going through this just last year before Little Man was born. There's nothing like it. Love just keeps on growing from here on out. Eat well Silver and make sure you get your vitamins. Keep that little squid strong and give it every chance to make it to the light come summer. I'm so pleased for you guys.
X
PS Garry? ... GET AT IT!!! You're not getting any younger, mate.
