One thing to realize and I'm surprised no one has mentioned it yet, your RAD, HAD, and C(orset)AD is now being ousted by BAD. Baby Acquisition Disorder. Yes diapers, bottles, clothes, toys, clothes, toys, and more clothes will take precedence over the new blades, soaps, cremes and brushes. Your shaving towels will now be called burp cloths, the wee ones gentle bath soap will replace your shaving soap and your razors will be relegated to a high locked cabinet that you will have forgot where you put the key
Besides all that...
Congratulations to you both !!!
Being a parent is heartwarming, heartbreaking, filled with wonder, worry, amazement, astonishment, humor and best of all Love. And that's all in about 5 minutes

Thanked: 174Congratulations to both of you.
Of course now you have found out how to make children, you should know that there is a shortage of the younger generation in the United Kingdom and so it is important that you start planning now for at least three. Once you get used to no sleep etc.,etc., you will find that its best to keep producing while your in the mindset.
To be a mum and dad is a treasure that you will appreciate the longer you live.

Thank you all very, very much for your wit & wisdom!
You are a galaxy of complete stars & Squid will grow up knowng that it has a damn fine bunch of uncles looking out for its best interests. You're probably right, Dave, it will stick & probably become "Squidgy" when warranted by the toxic waste in the nappies that we are so looking forward to
All of the ADs are now on hold for a few months. Although I will be looking for a nice Boker Injun as a New Mum present for Silver (but do not tell her) Chimensch, molto grazie dottore a lei e sua moglie! (runs out of Italian) You are totally right of course & there is nothing like an Italian blessing! Sir Sidney, thankyou. Most of your imparted made me roar with laughter. Squid will probably be introduced at Razorcon 09. Especially if it's a weekend long one next time
Squid will be our first arthropod together but my second. I do have some idea of what is involved & know that sleep is something that is so rare you grab it when you can.... The rest you look back on with fondness. When you get to look back. I can't wait

Sir Sandy - 5. Currently 770 views of my page in 3 months! Sould I be worried yet?!
6. Silver has to take thing easy for the next six weeks at least, Squid has already told me off once for overdoing things, which left me in bed for 36 excruciating hours!!! Not that I was in any pain, just don't like being confined to bed, hehehe
HAHAHA!! Thanks Dave, yep I know Squid will stick poor thing will just have to deal with it.
Yeah! Nobody tell me or you'll owe me a post Squid Pint!!
I've had to rest up for the last couple of day but everyone is fine, honest.

Silver and Spike: Cardiff will soon be a happier place, I'm sure! Congratulations! That's absolutely fantastic! I'm sure that the little Squid will be very welcome here in this extended family! Again, congratulations! I imagine you are filled with silly joy and you two are honing up your paental skils... Sleep all you can now... kids (particularly little Squids...) are a pain in the back end of the kilt when sleep are concerned... and I should know! I was a kid myself not long ago! Hip hip Hurra to you!
