He sure does! Like how to sell crack to children, how to not get shanked in prison, how to survive a drive-by, etc. 50 Cent - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Helluva role model. Real credit to the straight shaving community.

Most of us have skeletons in the closet. That he's left that behind is a credit to him.

In my book any popstar is guilty until proven innocent. Any scumbag can look like Mother Theresa with the proper public relation team. Hey, how 'bout that Brittney Spears comeback.

Dont give me what a great artist this guy is. You don't need to have ability to be successful in the music biz. You just need a good production team. If you have any doubt I offer up the vocal stylings of Ozzy Ozbourne.

Oh yeah. I don't care if he uses a straight or not. I am a little disappointed that I do something that associates me with him.

I guess you're right even that nasty Frank Sinatra had mafia connections. Hope he didn't shave with a Str8

You're right, Mike, I don't listen to (c)rap...I listen to actual music.
(OK, I just couldn't resist that one!)

...and when--because it is a "when", not an "if", this "50 cent" person who can't even afford a decent small-case letter (s) on the end of his name bails on that house, it will belong to yet another new up and coming flavor of the month.

Sorry, call me jaded, but at age 50, I've seen 'em come and I've seen 'em go...and new ones always show up.

Yeah, your original point, I suppose it's cool a celebrity uses a straight. I guess I'm not excited because I'm getting old and anything a "celebrity" does is meaningless to me.

OK, now THAT'S funny, Jimbo! Thanks for the laugh.

I needed it...am in the middle of a major p***ing match with an ugly-acting, cantankerous knife-maker (is there any other kind???) and his buddy on a knife forum.

What IS it about knifemakers that most of them have ZERO customer service skills?
Were they dropped when they were babies, on their pointy-little heads, or what?

YSD! (or may I call you Tam?), I think when you take into account that most of these cantankerous knife makers are typically older rednecks, you'll see how they can be that way. Old rednecks and the internet rarely mix well

I don't like 50 Cent much either, but I admire his (or his manager's) business acumen. Had he not become involved and diversified, he would definitely have been just another flavor of the week. He is enjoying a longevity that rappers of his generation rarely see. If he really does shave with a straight, cool beans. I still think I'd rather meet Tony Miller than 50 though

    Wink

    Dudes,

This thread does not seem to have any positive points to it other than a fellow using a straight.

I dont like the music offered by the fellow but I hate seeing such a thread.

It has a feel of hatred or something not good. I suggest a moderator end it.

We are above this stuff. I hope we are.

This is as preachy as I'll likely ever be as I hate preachiness....

    From the wiki:
The name was derived from Kelvin Martin, a 1980s Brooklyn robber known as "50 Cent". Jackson chose the name "because it says everything I want it to say. I'm the same kind of person 50 Cent was. I provide for myself by any means".
So he has committed crimes, he glorifies crime (by adopting the nickname of a robber), and he is proud of the fact that he is willing to do anything for money. I think some negative comments are justified.
