Thread: 50 cent uses a straight razor :)

I agree with Jockeys.

When I talk to people that I meet, it's only black men so far that use straights. I think it has to do with the black barber shop culture and that it is very popular with blacks to "edge" their hair into very stylish shapes across their scalps.

that is true now that i think about it most do have very sharp lines in thier hair i guess a straight would be the thing to use

I wouldn't be surprised if he's using it just for the video to promote an image. The cars in his MTV cribs episode were largely borrowed, as was the helicopter, it's just for show.
But then again I also wouldn't be surprised if he did use one.

As far as 50 cents music goes, I don't think he's a good rapper at all, and it amazes me he gets so much attention when there's far, far better rappers out there. I suppose catering to the lowest common denominator is profitable.

Not sure he deserves so much credit as you think. Just because you are able to parlay something awful into a moneymaking career doesn't make you a good person.

Music is written in third person. I hope you don't think the actors in movies are really the parts they play. I'm not saying he's a good person or a bad person. I'm sure there is someone close to everyone here who has done something jacked up in their life or is going too. Perhaps this person might even be one of the people who are making comments here now. Just cause he shaves with a straight doesn't make him a part of any group he's just a guy who shaves with a straight. I'm not black and I don't like his music but I'm also not into making these kinds of remarks with my follow members especially if I'm not sure who is going to get offended. If anyone is worried about being associated with him because he uses a straight then maybe we should all stop using pens or watching TV! Imagine the freaks who use those things.
