Well, ain't that a daisy.
Been married now for a year and a half, been with her almost ten.Took us a long time to decide on how we wanted to do it. Neither of us really needed the church involved but we both have children from previous partners so including them was paramount. Also we just couldn't fathom droppin a whack of cash on one day so we ended up gettin a JP to marry us on a public beach in my home town and had a pig roast after for about 80 friends and family. Sarongs for the girls, half price Old Navy gear for the boys. Short ceremony followed by a cooler full of Bud Light on the beach while my aspiring photographer cousin took photos and off the races. Absolutely ask the father in law for his blessing , it totally changed our relationship overnight. Nobody said it would ever be perfect, but if I can quote the advice my Father gave me on my wedding day, "Do you wanna be right, or do you wanna be happy?"
p.s. - my pic is from my wedding day, best day of my life

I've been told by nearly every one of my close friends that I'm too damn pick and I really "need" to get a girl friend.
Ironically the two of them I trust the most are hard for me not to agree with. Both are married to. Go figure.
Most of my guy friends (still stuck in high school mentally) will chase anything in a skirt. Not me.
I'm open minded about it, having known people who met people close by them and people who have met and married people they met online one way or another.
There is only one girl that I can honestly see myself with, weather it will work out that way remains to be scene. There is another that's interested in me but that's another issue all together. That will take some adjusting on my part. I'll deal with that if I get there.
Pragma + Agape type= me?
Hmm...maybe next I can judge my relationship prospects on Sternberg's Triangular Theory.Last edited by Vekta; 12-08-2009 at 12:43 AM.

Karl,
I am single as well. I certainly hope to one day be able to share my life with a wonderful young woman. However I am content and happy with my life as a single young man.
