yea, from wwhat i rememebr it works by disolving proteins, what tissues are made of, its only good for very short term contact, a "rinse"
it probably started to break down your newer less strong tissues, and thats why you can see all the recent scratches. its no big deal, just stop doing it

oh and id like to add to that, i once used it on a trouble pimple that wouldnt go away, i wet a q tip with peroxide and held it there for about a minute, maybe 2. it puffed up all the area around the pimple, made it look ten times worse, now i know it actually was destroying the immediate tissue, i might as well have put a ciggarette out on it, thats what it looked like for a long time.
clearasil is worth the extra buck :P

Peroxide that you buy in the store is what? 3% percent. I used to deliver it via tanker truck to paper mills in nearly 100% form. It's so volitile that when it comes into contact with the air, and say, a piece of paper, it will combust. Paper mills dilute it, and use it to bleach the pulp into white, for the paper we use. It's basically an oxidizer with corrosive properties. Some idiot brought some 35% percent solution onto a commercial airline, some time ago, in a cooler, checked baggage in plactic jugs, it spilled, of course. when the baggage handlers opened the compartment, the bags were smoldering. Even at 35% it has that property, pretty nasty stuff.
We have assumed control !

I noticed the other day that the bottle in my wood bleach kit has a hole in the cap
I suppose to let off pressure or something.
I only noticed when I poured a little in the cap and it ran out.
glad I was careful to keep it upright at all times
since I've had it for years and all
wonder what % that is?
