Today I found a fair bit of rust on the last few razors I have used. So now, every morning before I put the razor away I have to hold it infront of the fan for a minute or two to make sure every last bit of moisture is gone.
The razor box will still be fine, but I have to make sure that they are perfectly dry before the are put away.
OIL is a blades best friend. Moisture has a hard time getting to the steel if it is covered in oil. Dry very well then oil. I use mineral oil. You can eat it so I think that it is safe. Takes only 4 very small drops 2 on each side. I oil every blade after every shave and never have seen rust. I wish that everyone throughout time had done this, we would have many more good condition blades to choose from. And remember, THE BLADE THAT YOU SAVE TODAY WILL BECOME SOMEONES GRAND KIDS BLADE FOR TOMORROW.
