I don't change the oil or wash my car. If I had asked his opinion before taking up a str8, I wouldn't be here. He's discouraging people from even trying who might have liked it. It's stupid.

Did you ask someone if straights were for you or were you just attracted to them? I think you sound like the kind of person that would have done whatever you're mind was set on so you're not the kind of guy that Ray would have directed the question to. So in the end had it been you then you would have been here anyway.

For people who truly didn't know anything about straight shaving this was the analogy that Ray used and no it's not stupid. It's only part of the conversation he had with people shortened to fit in an article. I'm sure you get the point, there really is no need to be insulting and ungentlemanly with the language.

Ray was a great help to many people while he was here and he is missed.
