Thanked: 1the typical indian shaving set up
well since people wanted to see what indian razors look like, i just thought i'd upload some of my own. this is what the PREMIUM indian shaving systems look like( razor-made of horse hair, straight razor with an replaceable blade, and a pack of blades)

that looks like a fun and simple setup! ive used those gillete blades all my shaving life with a shavette given to me by a turkish barber when i was 16. although, the inscription on the tang and scales of the shavette does not appear to be of indian origin, it is infact arabic, a script also used by pakistan so maybe it was made in pakistan?
ps: what does the setup feel like?

not like a real straight indeed. i do like to stray away from luxuries and go for a poor set up shave sometimes in which i use arko/williams shave soap, a poor man's strop but the razor remains the same (dovo bq). a refreshing experience after all the days of taylors and crabtrees
