A friend of mine was talking about me (not remembering it was me) and mentionned something about someone who shaved with an 18th century razor. There is no need to go that far back in time to find people shaving with a straight.
Most people think death a secondary effect of straight shaving, as if cutting your throat was mandatory.

Ahaa!! Here it is!!! my recollection was suprisingly accurate (for me).

Just don't let her catch you with Nancy Boy shaving cream (note: I didn't say don't use it, because it rocks).

Too late. She saw the jar and laughed herself hoarse.

I think a lot of us "just shave", and don't even think about the razor being sharp. Try telling that to someone if you want to be laughed out of the room!

Yea I have gotten the "why" reaction quite a bit, my mother in law branched out she said, "...hows that going for you." I told her about her sarcasm on that one! When I tell people, I find that the response, "some things are done best the old way" works well. I even got my cousin interested, he takes up alot of hobbies. Being that I am a hispanic man and have many multicultural friends and family who go to the same barbers as me, they can appreciate the crisp edge up from a straight razor.

pretty much as said by others "are you crazy?" or "you gonna cut your throat" and also "it's a good thing you wife is a registered nurse" and my most favorite one "that is so barbaric, that's why they make disposables now"
