    From Mr Gill's website:

"For thousands of years, men have sought out the perfect shave, the perfect blade, the perfect edge from obsidian, bronze, iron, flint... ,” Mr. Gill says. “In recent history, a pioneer of the razor blade, Mr. King Camp Gillette, has produced the finest blade edges in the history of Christendom and the world. We have now arrived at the pinnacle of the sharpest of edges with the Gillette Mach 3, which we recommend as the best blade at this point in time."

Lest we close our minds to other possibilities, however, Mr. Gill amends: "If something were to surpass it, we will immediately inform the shaving public."

Some might believe that the straight razor is a more viable option. Mr. Gill intervenes: "Romantic machismo ideas, spaghetti Westerns and various American gangster movies have led a certain group of young men to believe that a shave with a straight razor is a ticket to Valhalla. This is false."

Get the tar and feathers, Boys!

It would appear Mr. Aidann "M3" Gill is on the Gillette payroll or something....

if we're going to do away with 'im, wouldn't it be more appropriate to do it Sweeney Todd style?

I do have to say that I had NO idea that this Gill guy would be involved. I was told by the staff writer I worked with that the article would be about SR's - and in fact my part that I worked on with him was just that. Now hear this: one or two of the razors in my bit were I believe provided by said Gill! Perhaps as illustrations of what not to use. Spaghetti westerns? Tell you what - let him take a M3 and I'll take my Fenney (aka Conan's sidearm). I'll tell you who would walk away from the OK corral......

Are my eyes deceiving me, or did they actually sprinkle drops of water on the blades for the picture?!

Steve, glad to see you get recognition for your professionalism and devotion to our hobby. It's unfortunate that Gill got a plug in the same space although he is not a straight advocate of straight shaving.
