I'm not absolutely sure, but I'm almost certain it would be a disposable shave. My wife works in a spa and a friend is a hairstylist, and I think NV law is similar to what others have posted: if it touches the customer, it's disposable.

I have heard that there are a few old school barbershops in Vegas, but I haven't checked them out yet to see how they perform shaves.

Colorado and Arizona use shavettes in my experience (Floyd's in Denver and V's in Phoenix)...I asked and they said it was part of the law. I didn't ask about brushes. I need to ask my barber(s) if they could use one of my str8s...for those days when you just need to doze off in a barber's chair.....btw, Floyds - haircut and shave is around $30. V's in Phoenix (a little more high end - uniforms, free shoe shine, etc.) - haircut $21, shave $25. Floyd's site even shows a customer getting a shave (razor looks like a shavette). I'll check on the personal SR (much like German brewhalls or pubs having personal beer steins in little cage "lockers."

If anyone ever gets to Tulsa, Oklahoma look up Clays Barbershop. He still uses a traditional straight, he also has a neat collection of historical barber chairs as well.

Where abouts in Tulsa? I'd want to take my own for sterile reasons, but I'd loooove to get shaved by a barber. Does he do a good job?

Ahh, not to worry about serility. That was my concern at first. All his razors get imediately sterilized after use. He does a wonderful job Plan to spend about 45 minutes there since he gives you the full monty. 51st and Mingo.

Of course full monty meaning: pre conditioner, two hot towels, lemon oil preshave oil, lather, shave, more hot towels, then a generous splash of aftershave.
