The only AD I have is RAD. I think it's because Carrie and the Joes let me play with all their stuff.

I was reading about AD and in fact there is a lot people had that disease.
    Signs are (examples)
Person could collect newspaper which has instructions how to cook some food.
whole room is full of newspaper and she never used any of them cook any food but steel collect them.
    This is really bad one.
some people will collect Pianos i don't remember names but it was 2 brothers and after they died people took out 17 pianos out of the house and 110 ton ( i am not sure exact number on this)of metals.
it was impossible to get in to the house.
why i am saying all this ?

if you have 100 razors and you clean them up use them or even could get rid of them (sell)you are fine.
But you have 10000 and never touch any of them but just adding more then i am sorry you are in trouble.
Person has to learn how to get rid of extra things too.
    hope this helps.

RAD, HAD, KKAD, are my big ones... KKAD? Kitchen Knife AD... But as I'm a cook and I use them... I feel I need to get more as long as my wife doesn't start throwing them at me

I have about 15 razors and i believe that is all i need (until another nice piece pops up somewhere). 1 strop, 2 brushes and several hones. Poor excuse but i had all my hones before getting into straight razors.
i've had severe AD for vintage tools and engine parts, but somehow i've managed to calm it down lately. maybe i'm just getting old, but i believe i have everything i need.

All these ADs are easy and harmless to live with.
Things could be worse: I have a friend who has very bad AD for phone booths. Really. He collects them from the phone company auctions and junkyards, and he has 9 phone boots in his garden. He doesn't know why he wants them. His wife is really mad.
He doesn't do anything with these, just collects. I once tried to buy one of his booths. Vintage 100 yo Russian phone booth with nice copper dome and all. Looks like an old mosque. I though i would make a nice, 'Elvis-is-the-King' shelter for trash cans, but he didn't sell. In fact he was little angry because i even asked.

I agree. I only have one brush, and no desire to get another one. The one I have works fine and I'll use it until it falls apart..!

Razors and hones though, thats another thing...

I have RAD and a minor HAD (until I find that perfect honing combo ).

I have RAD and just got 2 sets of Hones to start honing with.. 1 brush, 1 soap , 1 cream. I now also have 8 bottles of aftershave though which before I started with straight razors only had 1. My wife is finally embracing my ADs because I am always clean shaven now and smell nice all the time (not just when I am meeting a client). The only caveat is after I get some of the blades I have restored they must go up for sale but I get to choose which ones to sell and which ones I get to keep and shave with.

My RAD is not as BAD (brush aquisition disorder) as my HAD. Wait, no. Maybe it's the other way around. GET out of my mind...

I've gotten AD's with all of it (maybe not by Sham's definition though).
Wait, I'm not too bad with colognes! Since I don't wear them often, I only have 3 or so

Thus far I'm free of ADs with hones, brushes, and strops. Hones, I'm just happy if they do what I want--and they do. Brushes, I'd actually like to try making my own, but have no interest in "upgrading."

Strops, however...I'm seriously considering adding a Premium I to go with my Premium III, as it would be nice to have a strop with lighter draw sometimes...but I can't see myself going too crazy.

Now razors...<sigh> My wife is gonna kill me...
