Thread: Founder's Razor

I received the Founder's Razor I ordered from Classic Shaving today. It is a beautiful piece. The scales are white bone with nice grain showing, with CS ingraved on the silver plaque. The Blade is virtually identical to that of the Bergischer Lowe, but without the gold wash and satin panel, with ingraving on one side showing the Classic Shaving name and the other with Ray's signature and dates. All in all a awesome razor.

Ok but you need to tell us how it shaves! Is it Puma-esk?

I'm going to hone it tomorrow, although I don't think it will take much, and then I'll let you know. How're things in the big apple?

I think it is very nice looking hope it shaves as well. The big apple is still the same it is one place that never really changes.

What a great looking razor. For some reason I like
the square point blades the best. I quess because
that's what I started out with.

I ordered one last night with a ticket. Can't wait to get it and see what it looks like. Danielle Dupont said that her Mother could not get the picture to show the grain in the bone scales. She did say that the razors were pretty cool. OH! since these are limited production is there a number on them. I forgot to ask Danielle if these were numbered.

No, unfortunately no numbers. Mine looks like it may be close to shave ready out of the box. I'm going give a few passes on a pasted strop, then on the plain strop and try it out. I think I'll do that right now.

All right Rich go for it.

I just finished shaving with FR. My face is as smooth as a super models behind . I gave it about 20 passes on a suede strop w/ TI paste, then 20 passes on each of 2 of my plain strops. Showered, preped and shaved. This is the first razor I've ever gotten that was shave ready when it arrived. Awesome razor. And it does come vary close to a Puma.

Sounds great I wish I had some extra cash right now. Looks like a winner.
