Which brings us to a grand total of 3... I know of that many of us in the Greater Toronto Area. In any case I found Skopje to have more class and tradition than any other place I've been to in the Balkans, with the POSSIBLE exception of Novi Sad. Now I'm forced to indulge in a bit of metrocentrism: but Belgrade has a livelier club scene and prettier women

Very true... Belgrade has some unreal looking girls... Down their streets is like Playboy party, all the time If I had to choose, Belgrade girls would be No.1 in the world.

But you've never live in Montréal. Now those women have something I haven't seen anywhere else in Canada. It's something you just can't put your finger on, but you can't stop trying to either.

Depends on where they emigrated from. I'm originally from the Balkans and the only SR-user I know of down there is Nenad. I started using a straight only after living in North America for a bit more than 11 years lol.
Several people from central/south americas regions have told me they use str8s commonly. Also I've spoken to people originally from Tailand, (formerly) Burma, Indonesia, Cambodia, the Phillipines, India, Lebanon. They all have said They use str8s regularly over there.

When I was trying to get the Goldollar rep in China to send me some samples of their str8s she mentioned that she sells all over asia, africa, and parts of Europe but she was afraid that the English speaking countries, (U.S. U.K, Australia, etc.) would not be a good investment of her efforts due to the huge " . . . . infatuation with disposable products . . . "

Straight razors are much more popular than we realize. We'd just have to travel around to countries where we wouldn't have running water and "desperate housewives" to notice it.

X, I've been to both places. Even though Montreal definately has a large pool of most excellent talent, it's not like Belgrade where you fall in love every 2 seconds. That and the bbq are the things I miss most about living down there

Joe, that would not be a bad idea. If you ever really decide to go, I can give you a couple of good clubs and good places to grab some grub. Btw. there's no such thing as last call down there. Last call is when the last customer leaves and afik they still allow smoking in bars/clubs/restaurants. Cab rides are dirt cheap (your average ride will cost like $5) so you don't have to worry about renting a car. You want to go there in early summer or early fall, when you can also hit the bars/clubs/restaurants on floating platforms on the 2 rivers (Sava and Danube). Avoid mid-summer because it gets a bit too hot. 10% is a generous tip over there since waiters/bartenders get comparably decent wages. Shopping is great b/c you can get top Euro fashions at decent prices. I got a nice leather 3/4 coat and italian leather boots for less than half of what I'd have been paying here. And if you want to try the authentic spit-roasted piglet + some good local bbq, I'll direct you to my dad. He roasts a piglet or a lamb once or twice a month in spring/summer at his river cottage and he generally doesn't mind visitors

    Talk about a thread hijack! ! !

    X,

    Just curious about your comment:

Now those women have something I haven't seen anywhere else in Canada. It's something you just can't put your finger on, but you can't stop trying to either.
    Is it removable by surgery?
