Another DE user from SMF checking in. Amazing how a giveaway gets us all crawling out of the woodwork.
I've been getting great results with a DE recently (about two months or so into it), so now, of course, I'm starting to look at straight edges afresh.

Thanked: 0i'd like to be included in the contest,
i'm french.
my grandfather's straights were lost a few years ago. I'm looking for a first straight razor before to by in a few months a top rank thiers issard (direclty from the masters' hands).
Its really great that such a contest should take place, and few web communities do practice such (friendly/familial/christian/benevolent/whatever adjective for good...) spirit. i've been touched also by posts refering to ray dupont caritative action.
a great thanks

Thanked: 0another newbie checks in
I was referred from SMF and want to learn more about straight razor shaving, too.
I have one eBay purchased, apparently unused, straight that shaves like scraping a hog. Now I know that unused DOES NOT equal shave ready, but means possible blood donor status.
I would like to enter the give away and know how to arrange to ship my one and only straight to Lynn for a proper honing. Please assume ignorance on my part when giving advice.
Thanks and blessings, Dave Keith

Thanked: 0This will be my first with a staight razor so if I pay for one and cut myself that would really hurt. But if get one for free and cut myself that might take the sting out of it.
