Thanked: 0I'm curious. Did any historical figures have scars from straight razor accidents?
Historical figures like presidents, generals, emperors, etc?

Al Capone, only it wasn't an accident.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

Chopper Read famously had his ears sliced off with a razor whilst in Pentridge prison.

Thanked: 90I think you'd be hard pressed to find ANYONE with a serious accidental self inflicted wound from shaving. Except on the finger, that is (I've almost done that). The reason being that when you cut yourself, you generally stop before you push the blade further.

nada
Im not thinking that you will find any people that have hurt them selves with a straight unless they were trying to hurt them selves. or if they carry straight razors like a knife, iv heard some mexican gangs do that, Thats about the only way you will find anything on people getting seriously hurt by a razor.

I find that getting seriously wounded by a razor is difficult. When you're shaving and you nick yourself, it generally doesn't even get deep enough to bleed profusely. That's because you feel the blade, feel the cut and instinctively react and pull the blade away.
Of course, it is possible to get nasty cutts when restoring or paying less attention to what you are doing. I once got over confident and forgot where the blade was at one given moment and got a nice clean cut on my left index finger. Other than that, nothing...
If you are shaving someone else, I suppose that it is easier to cut someone in a nasty way - that's why barbers are professionals and we should not shave others unless we are extremely carefull.
However, I can't stop wondering if you haven't seen Reservoir Dogs, Millano Calibro 9 or Sweeney Todd one time too many...
Shaving with a straight razor is not dangerous.

Personally I can't think of ay but the simple fact that you can't find any is really saying something about str8s to begin with.
