I like to shave in the afternoon. And by afternoon I mean between 2 and 7 PM

Basically an evening shaver. I run the shipping office for a hospital/medical research/med school and after handling packages of who-know's-what all day I don't get into bed without a shower. After which it's just easier to shave. Honestly I would rather be able to shave first thing in the morning but with the prescription therapies I'm on I usually don't feel so hot first thing in the a.m. so I usually don't really feel like shaving...or even waking up for that matter but we do what we have to do.

Thanked: 39It really depends on how I feel. As long as I have peace and quite any time can be good.
But for the most part it is late afternoon most of the time.

Preferred time . . .
Ladies and gentlemen:
Any time is a good time for a good wet shave with the straight razor. For me, though, the hours between 4 a.m. and 8 a.m. feel like an angel singing love notes in my ear.
Regards,
Obie

I shave in the evening on work days. I find it extremely relaxing, rejuvenating, and somewhat zen-like, if I make more of a ritual out of it. It really helps me reset.
I may not shave at all on the weekends, unless I end up going out to movies or dinner and such (as opposed to Home Depot and the like...sigh). On those days, it's more of an afternoon shave.

Late afternoon, around 5:30 or so before dinner. A relaxing way to end the day and I have plenty of time to enjoy the process.

I voted night because that is my preference but I shave in the morning on work days. I have to be at work at 1PM 3 days a week and at noon on Saturday. Believe it or not though this may seem like 'banker's hours' my morning shaves are usually a bit rushed.
On my days off I normally ride the single track bike trails or road and naturally I sweat. If I shave before I ride the sweat burns my freshly shaved face even if the ride is hours later. So I shave at night. For some reason around midnight seems to be the right time for me. Maybe from listening to 'Round Midnight' by Thelonious Monk too much.Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

Night time is the preferred time....no noice, no hustle, no rush to get to work on time....I can consentrate on the shave and pamper myself. HOG
