Thanked: 0Video: Making of Dovo Straight Razors
Hi all,
from the German "Nassrasur" (Wet Shaving) forum there was a hint on a report on German TV about Dovo and the making of straight razors.
You will find the online-video here :

Sorry, the page and video are AFAIK in German only, but I hope the video is nevertheless interesting.
Best regards, have fun

That was a surprise to see how they hone their razors towards the end. Seems like they are back-honing at the same time they hone.

I thought that was very cool. I speak very basic German so I managed to follow the basic gist of what they were saying although I definitely didn't catch anywhere close to all of it. The whole honing and stropping bit of the video kind of surprised me, that's definitely not what I thought I would see.
I forwarded it to a friend of mine who's a very proud German, I thought he'd get a kick out of it.

Thanked: 0Well, yes, the honing is not following exactly what is taught all over this place
But then it seems to be working, as the HHT is passed ok - I think its a matter of experience, which this lady without doubt will have ...

Axel, what are the main honing methods and stones mentioned at the Nassrasur forum?
