I received a box of shaving goodies yesterday.

The contents were paid for by Judy Thompson, the widow of Robert Clark Thompson. He was also known as Bobby Thompson while playing banjo on the television show "Hee-Haw", in addition to being an A-list studio musician in Nashville for many years. Robert was also a veteran.

Would anybody like to donate items or PayPal? We have a couple of SRP folks in the military looking for a little help. There's nothing too large or too small to help gang. DE's, blades, disposables, brushes, soaps, canned foam you don't use anymore because you're big boys now, etc..... any shaving gear is appreciated. E-mail or PM me for shipping info.

Received a nice big package today. I believe Waterboo deserves credit (P. Connelly). A couple of Mama Bear's soaps, a couple of sampler sized shave creams, some Geo. F. Trumpers shaving cream, a partial can of canned foam and some Mach III heads & handle. More of you straight razor converts could send your Mach III supplies to me for the guys overseas

    THANKS!

Due to the database failure, everyone's private messages were affected.

If you had requested shaving supplies to be sent to your unit, please PM or e-mail me so I can get them shipped to you.

    Default Thanks from a troop!

I just wanted to say THANKS to Mike Ratliff. I'm heading off for a 12 month tour to the desert and just found this community. I saw the shave-ready Wapi's Mike was selling and signed up for one; not only did he send it to me, he sent an additional razor, some diamond paste, and a cake of soap, all free, and shipped them priority so I could receive it all before I leave tomorrow. I'm heading up to the shower in a minute to give my first straight razor shave a try.

Unfortunately, I most likely won't be able to get through the firewall in the desert to participate on this board, but I must say you have an excellent community, highlighted by guys like Mike and the gentlemen who have provided items for the troops. I can honestly say, that while we can get most things over in the desert, ANYTHING that comes as a gift is greatly appreciated, not for the face value of the gift, but as a silent "thanks" for doing our jobs. It makes leaving my wife and 2-year old a little easier.

Thanks again to Mike for his unexpected generosity.

    -Mic
