There is no telling what Gillette has decided the positive points of wet shaving are. They could be on the right track or they could be on a train going nowhere.

I'm going to wait until people I consider experts--the members of SRP--evaluate their product before I believe their PR.

Of course the blades are going to be fixed. With a 5-year span on the blades, they have to recoup their losses of not selling the cartridges, so they'll sell you a new razor at approx 5000% markup.

TBS, you forgot the automatic honing machine they are developing which will eliminate any human effort in creating the perfect edge everytime. Drop in the blade and walk away, shave ready each time you pick it up. Why pay for some demented fellow obsessed with rocks to touch your perfect Gillette blade and mess it up?

Of course, there will be some necessary material removal that occurs, but the honing machine will automatically link to the company website and a new razor will be shipped to the address of your choice when a replacement is needed. Your bank account data will be needed for this service.

This will grow in the telling. You had me going for a couple sentences....

    Thumbs up

I guess this means I can stop holding my breath; although, it was an engaging tale. --Gasp... the reader returns to normal color--

We are sorry, but the surplus materials from this bridge are already being utilized and the metal which is 10 fiddy sevendy fotysis alpha is being smelted and forged as we speak.

Better luck on the next auction.

Oh that was a joke? Good to know Gillette isn't dumb enough to be insulting to a customer.

I still doubt their ability to make a good straight razor though.
