We are now entering the holiday doldrums with no days off work until late May so I think a contest with a prize attached is in order eh?

We just celebrated George Washington's birthday and we all know how honest he was and we all remember how he cut down the cherry tree and when questioned about it he fessed up right away.

So my question to all of you is have you ever told a fib about anything related to wet shaving? Maybe you bragged a little too much about your honing abilities or restoration skills or maybe hid a purchase from the missus or, well.... you get the idea.

Whoever comes up with the best fib of all wins.

Hey man a lot of people use canned cream. Do you use a shaving cup it bowl to make your leather?

I have a mug and brush but just cant get it to lather up as fluffy as id want so i cheat.

I told my wife when i started shaving with straight razors that if i get a serious cut i'd stop.(biggest mistake of my LIFE!) Few months after i cut my jaw line, wasn't that bad but i couldn't let my wife know the truth so i made up this big story about my jaw getting cut out in the shed. She probably would have been ok with it but in the moment you know i had to cover my tracks.

Now when i think about it she probably knows the truth and is just letting me think otherwise...WOMEN! they are crafty creatures.

I still have the best lie ever. When i was 14 and found srp i used to stay up till like 3 am to start reading adn posting on here because i dient want to tell my family i was into straightr razors for fear that they would think i was honestly insane or that i wanted to hurt someobody with one not use it properly.. so i hid my straight razor for the first 6 months of use ( i hid the straight razor with my guns and i hid my strop in a compartment in the back of my closet where i put my belts and my mug was hidden under my bed. I finaly came around and told them about my hobbie but never told them i hid my stuff for 6 months.

yea that still hasent been adressed i think they had a guess or 2 and im positve neather one was playing with a razor. a better question was why i was in the bathroom at wee hrs of the morning
