Thanked: 375Can't please all the people all the time. As long as you know you did everything you could to make the customer happy, that's all that really matters. Sounds to me like you communicated well, performed the service requested and returned the finished product to it's owner in a reasonable amount of time.

I think its really a shame that sometimes in business we have to deal with people of unknown character.
Unfortunate, the customer in question could not be gentleman enough to deal directly with you instead of publicly announcing the fact that he must hide behind a keyboard to feel like he'd been victorious in the dispute. I have read many posts here from you Lynn and countless others who I consider men of integrity and I guess thats why I stay here. You have created an informative and friendly forum here the population of which demonstrates that decency. I dont think in this arena, that your reputation can be tarnished.
Sorry to hear, this too shall pass
Best regards,
Mike

Thanked: 1184Don't let it ruin your fun. :<0) I used to have a 5th generation farrier and he used to say "bad publicity is still publicity". People will forget the bad and still remember your name. And they will hear the good things later and then judge for themselves.
Good judgment comes from experience, and experience....well that comes from poor judgment.

Thanked: 485I might start a new site called 'Wombat and Blade'. We shall have a bashing policy. We shall swear a lot and talk about politics, guns and shaving ummm 'down there'... I think it'll work... There seems to be a market for it...
Stranger, if you passing meet me and desire to speak to me, why should you not speak to me? And why should I not speak to you?

Thanked: 40Gee, He had to wait three extra days to get his razor that was honed by Lynn. What is his problem? It's definitely worth the wait.

But seriously Lynn, not to bash anyone or anything but this guy sounds like tool and B&B's got many of their own issues. I watched them ban me and a bunch of other really good guys basically just because they wanted us gone and needed an excuse. I'd go over there and tell them to suck **** through a tube but as I said, I've been banned for life. No huge loss though, it's rather like reality TV over there. FWIW, you and your site are far better anyway. My Mom used to say, "People throw rocks at things that shine." Clearly that's what's happening here ****'em if they can't take a joke.Last edited by 1OldGI; 02-06-2013 at 11:18 AM.

Ah well. I looked at B&B and joined here. Encyclopaedic knowledge, great links to vendors etc and I've yet to see anything derogatory directed at anyone.

I know one of the kindest Guy out there and he got banned from B&B, plus a buss load of regular guys as well. Sounds like a place you either agree 100 percent with or is 100 percent out.

Reading some of the posts we all appear a bit tribal. "This site is better than that one because ......"
