I agree Sam was a great host. The boys represented the forum in style. It was great to see so many people I knew only in this forum. Michael was honing away and doing his thing. Nelson was amazing. To watch him work is poetry in motion. Nelson got us set up to shave like kings. He answered a million question and put on a honing clinic. I have been dying to get together with Nelson for a while and today was a blast. Hey Nelson thanks for the razors. YOU ARE THE MAN.

Special thanks to Sam for hosting and doing so much to make it a great event. Geoff (sp?) for the coffee. Everyone for bringing their impressive collections of rocks, razors brushes and strops. Thanks to Nelson for the sharing so much knowledge.
Finally thanks to everyone for making today so great and to Luis for riding down with me.
Fun times. See you all at the next one!

My pleasure Luis, thank you. It's actually pretty cool that the countless hours spent on Google translate deciphering Japanese barbering literature can be helpful to someone other than myself. I'd like to thank Luis additionally for loaning me the lefthand I never had and also taping spines. Joe Lowett hooked me up with a 6 month supply of his Bay Rum concoctions and pre-shave oil, good stuff.
Michael is stepping up his honing game big-time, every time we meet his touch gets more refined.
Great meet!

Thanks from me as well. Sam runs a great show and that room is perfect.
Nelson you are a craftsman with few if any peers and I can't thank you enough for your patience in answering questions and getting my very first razor back to form and helping me with my stropping technique. I picked up a new razor from Tony too. For a new straight shaver I think I learned more in a few hours than I could have watching videos and reading for months.
Everyone was so giving of time and advice making this a genuinely great event.

Great time today! Like everyone else thanks to Sam for hosting. Additional thanks to Nelson for the honing lesson and the honing of my two razors- don't know which one to use first! Good times and looking forward to the next one! Thanks to all who came.
