    Aaron & Chris,

Have either of you considered sticking your face in a yellow jackets nest first to stretch and tighten the skin before applying the menthol soap? Heck you would have all the cushion, glide, firming & tears you want. The freeze would really hit the spot then.

A veteran is someone who, at one point in their life, wrote a blank check, made payable to the United States of America, "for an amount up to and including my life".

Thanks Kevin, you just gave me an idea for a brush handle design.

LOL!! Yeah, you got it bad! I haven't tried the Yeti Snot yet that I got at the meet up. That's for tomorrow. Just got to figure out how to load the brush without having to chase the florescent green cube around the bowl!!

I just hold it in my hand to load the brush, I do this with most of the smaller size samples.
Even works well with the SRD triangle shaped samples, the soap I get on my hand I just apply straight to my face.
    It is just Whisker Whacking
    Relax and Enjoy!

you could mill your own soap blends and add a little of the menthol in with some others. or save it for when you have a cold.

Thanks Pat, I'll give that a try. I've never done that before. All the other samples I've dried I've been able to squish into the bottom of the bowl, except for the french milled stuff, too hard.

LOL!!! Its funny that you should mentioned that Dana. Kevin said he's going to keep some to clear his sinuses the next time he has a head cold but that he doesn't like the mentholated feel. I'm surprised, all along I thought he was a mountain man not an Asheville man (that should get my butt kicked!!).

Chris-I took a couple of those samples (at least the clear glycerin soaps), transferred them to those little round tupperware containers with lids, and gently nuked them in the microwave until they melted and conformed to the shape of the tub. Dr. Yeti and Mama Bear's Awakenings are now ready for action.

And yeah, I have a serious crystal-menthaddiction. And though I haven't tried yellow jackets yet, Kevin, I have considered watching some sappy chick-flicks on Lifetime, or maybe reading Nicholas Sparks books like The Notebook to better augment the tears during a shave. Come to think of it, that old movie Brian's Song would probably do it.

My next experiments along those lines may involve liquid nitrogen and dry ice in a proprietary formula; the lathering challenges that may occur when my shaving brush shatters in a million pieces will have to be worked out in R&D.

edit: Chris-I forgot if I asked you if you got a chance to try Godrej Menthol Mist. If so, did you like it? As you know, I'm a fan; love the scent, though it's not as cold as some of these ultra-mentholated products.

Thanks Aaron, I'll try the microwave trick and see what happens. I did that with a sample of Vostock and just about vaporized it. All that was left of it was a hard brittle crust and a house filled with a menthol smell (glad SWMBO wasn't home). Haven't tried the Godrej yet, that's up for tomorrow's shave. I'm interested in following your nitrogen experiment, you'll have to let us know how it goes.
    Chris
