Sorry for the delay I was spending time with SWMBO, Here is his card. Haywood Rd is on west I-240. At the end of the ramp you need to head west about 150 - 175 yards Shop is on the south side of the road. He is located across the street from a large church in a small white building. Look for the Barber pole out front. I will take a picture of the shop next week.
IMPORTANT NOTE: I would recomend You bring your own brush when getting a shave. Alan has hot foam but I like the cream and brush better. NC. State Law says he can use soap/ Cream with a disposal brush or the customers brush Since he does not stock brushes BYOB.
Glad to know you are coming this is shaping up very well. I am sure that there will be many learning experiences and stories to tell after this one. You did note it will be going on for 2 days?

Asheville NC meetup ; April 26-27th
Several have asked about being able to buy, sell or trade items.
Here's my thoughts....
Don't go with the intention of selling your gear only. It may not sell and I dont want anyone discouraged. However if you're there and someone wants something you have, Great. So long as everyone is happy happy happy.Last edited by rickboone; 03-10-2014 at 08:16 AM.

I personally don't have any issue with Buying Selling and Trading while there because this is a meetup and people are traveling a long way and should have every option we can afford them. Having said this, we don't have room for full time sale tables in the meeting room. The main focus as we all know is on learning and exchanging information. We can handle about 45 + people and be able to seat each person at a table and have room to move around.
I will look at the area tomorrow and see if I can figure out a way to help those people that may want to offer up some of their personal gear. Just as an Idea and the weather works with us, we will have about 2+ acres of parking lot that a tailgate swap could happen in for those that have a truck load of stones. As an option we could set up a time that is dedicated each day and use the area (I say each day as some may not be able to arrive until Sunday).
That is just my $0.02 worth.
Anyone coming got a big tent?

Thanked: 2209Regarding Buy/Sell/Trade at the razor meets.......... I have been to 8 razor meets and in each one some BST was going on.
No vendor had a table exclusively for selling purposes nor conducted themselves in a strictly sales role.
The last razor meet I attended in Kansas City one of the members brought in a big plastic tub filled with vintage razors that he let go for his cost! Lots of guys were very happy!
I usually bring a bunch of razors and hones for show & tell and without fail someone wants to buy!
It is only normal behavior at these Razor Meets.
In all things moderation.Last edited by randydance062449; 03-10-2014 at 05:27 AM.

My two cent opinion says that I will not be able to make it due to my niece is getting married in Dallas that weekend. If people are interested in seeing something, maybe post somewhere wants and desires, and they can Private Message about it first and then reach out at contact one another one at the meet up. Just an idea. You never know what someone may have and is willing to part with without asking. Just and idea
I am very appreciative of all the knowledge and sharing each and everyone has provided me with. Look forward to future endeavors with many of you.
