Thanked: 4206O/ville is an hour from Young and Bloor, An hour and a half from the Oshawa GM plant via the 407/410.
I hope you and Val are able to make the trek Phrank. I want to see your big W and B's..
Learning a few more strokes from Val would be advantageous as well. Have some gents take my ZULU Gray for a few laps.
I don't have Colin's number but did send him a message asking for info regarding the hall. Left a message for Phil and Jane as well from Classic Edge re date.
Sorry you aren't free Rez, your spot of the world is so remote makes Orangeville look like New York. I saw a real estate show highlighting Haida Gwaii called "off the map' or something similar last week. Gorgeous, but very isolated looking.
And, if for some reason the hall becomes available still, my feelings are not hurt if we change locations.. Just want to get this meet going.
Cheers gents.

Thanked: 4826They show did paint it as being much more remote than it actually is. I actually know everyone on that episode. For the record that couple had been living in the place they chose for over two years. I like to get out and check the sites and would have love to see TO, however I have a crazy work schedule for the summer, so if it comes to Spring Salmon ( Kings for those to the south ) and travel, well I'm not going to pass up on my annual 30 springs and freezer full of halibut. Hopefully there are a few fall meets going on and I will take one in as part of a holiday. I hope everyone gets to make it and has a great time.
It's not what you know, it's who you take fishing!

Thanked: 4206Hey gents. I posted this event in the calendar to hopefully get it out there more.
Haven't heard from Colin yet, or seen him on here for some time so we can move ahead with the Orangeville location unless I hear different over the next couple weeks if that's cool with everyone?
Sunday the 27th work for everyone?
I will either post on here or pm everyone confirmed, the address for GPS or google maps closer to the event.
Cheers gents.

Thanked: 4206I almost bought in Everett years back, nice quiet spot. You are relatively close, cool.
Would be good to get a head count going so I can start to scope out size of beef etc..
Got confirmation from Phil at Classic Edge that he and Jane will be able to attend. He has some neat stuff to review around croX use that we can cover as part of the day. Depending on head count, may need some extra chairs, but rain or shine, we'll have lots of room.
I've got a Zulu gray, Charnley, and phig hone all new since last meet to show off and let folks check out. That was , to me the coolest bit about getting together,, all the amazing blades and gear folk have acquired.
I believe Mike, and Andrew's in, and he indicated he'd have some of his amazing brushes. I can only hope Val shows up with his incredible works as I haven't heard. A few others have indicated as maybes, but wold be nice to get a list going..
Cheers..
