Thanked: 4826They seemed to be pretty confident that it was simply the plane was overweight and they know where my bag is. However I have to wait to check another on of my edges. At this point I am not particularly worried.

Thanked: 4Hi Guys....sorry I haven't been on for a few days...had a family emergency on Sunday and couldn't make the second day.
Thanks to Ralph and his wife for hosting the meet in their wonderful home and extra many thanks to glen for teaching us all more in one day than we could have learned in months. Glen was honing razors within two minutes of his arrival.
It was great to get to meet some of the guys from up here in Edmonton as well...super guys all with great insight for those of us new to the disease (rad). It is amazing how much can be learned from talking to other guys in person....thanks to Sean for the great strop!
I had a great time and wish that I could have been there the second day.
Opusx....when is that beer garden?

Thanked: 2I was great to be there on Sunday. Thanks to Ralph for hosting and for the soap stick, and Glen for the honing advice. I learned a lot in an afternoon. Picked up some tips and corrected some mistakes in my technique. I honed a couple of razors I brought on the Nortons. They both gave a good shave; one I finished on Shawn's home made hone and was an improvement (thanks to Shawn). He also let me sharpen one of his razors. Would like to know how that went. I have a Geneva 5/8 I will have to try now. Nice to meet everyone. Wish I could have made it Saturday.

Thanked: 4826I have only shaved with two of the razors that got sharpened that weekend. I will let you know how it goes when I get to that one. It was a very educational weekend for everyone. It is always once to meet with like minded people.

Hey gents, it sounds like a good time was had by all. Unfortunately, circumstances kept me from heading south for the meet. Wes looking forward to seeing some familiar faces and meeting a couple others. Missed meeting Glen, was looking forward to chatting with you some!
We had a big "realignment" at work. I was fortunate to keep my position, but some others not so much. The net result was a 30% increase in my work load. Threw a monkey wrench into a lot of plans...
I am looking forward to the next meet, and will make plans/time for it.My friends call me Bear.
