I'm still thinking it would be worth the effort. What better does an old retired guy have to do anyway?

Check out the airfare to either Dallas or Oklahoma City. One of us can pick you up and take you back to the airport.

5-6 days on the road is a long time, especially in the winter thru the Midwest and points farther north.

Hey, you've got three months to find a carpool partner! I've got friends in MA I would love for you to bring along, but unfortunately they are not interested in straight razors.

You should be able to find someone along the (very long) route who would be willing to share the expenses.

Count me in, ever since the meet up in Kansas City I attended I've been itching to go to another, plus I have been thinking heavily about making razors and knives lately.

Randy, Thanks for the more than generous offer. I'll do some homework when I get a chance and try to sort things out. If the stars all align, and this is a go, I will keep you posted. For now I'll keep my fingers crossed!

Sounds good! It would be good to see you again.
If your seriously thinking about learning how to make straight razors then this is the number 1 place for you to be. 6 people can vouch for this , Nun2sharp ( Kelly), Utopian (Ron), Shooter74743 (Scott), 430Pat (Pat), Bluesman7 (Victor) and me . All of us have been to Charlies Razor Workshop and each has learned a lot. This is a total focus on making straight razors with a ton of hands on work.

    See you in February

Sharptonn, holds a mighty fine meet in the Huston area, cooks a mean hamburger and sausage also

Those Huston area guys are a great bunch of razor geeks.
