Yeah well many years ago I had to be in Austin for work, for a full week in August. I can imagine people thinking fondly of snow.

I just found out that my entry in the US is still valid for another year so yaay that's another couple of bucks that I don't have to spend

Right after I sent that response yesterday I remembered that I have to have my left knee replaced. I have an appt. in Tulsa mid January to talk to the surgeon, the one that did my right hip, to discuss when he can do the knee surgery. He is usually booked up pretty far in advance so hopefully I can still make it.

These are the razors that Mike, Howard and I forged during the workshop.
I took them home with me to finish, and will take them back with me to the next meet in February.
I made the one in red, which was forged from a piece of Tim (32t) 's billet of 1095 15N20 Damascus.
The one in blue was forged by Mike Blue.
The one in green by Howard Clark.
Mike's and Howard's are in O1 or 1095.
I purposely did not alter the shape of the razors with filework or such, because I wanted to finish what Mike and Howard had made, not turn it into 'my' style.Til shade is gone, til water is gone, Into the shadow with teeth bared, screaming defiance with the last breath.

My finances have taken a downturn recently and I have had to dip into the razor meet fund.
To be able to see these in person will give me some incentive to work at getting it built back up by the beginning of Feb!

Nothing that bad!
I am old school and like to save for my fun etc. ahead of time. For example I have my "bow" account., [archery related in the name], that by other names could be my razor meet account or my fun account. My truck account was low and needed a little help to pay for tires etc. Don't tell my boss but the reason I go to work is to pay for my fun,,,, and family. And tires are a prerequisite to get there....
If I use my credit card to visit with you guys without being able to pay it off in the next bill in my mind that would be a big compliment!
