Thanked: 4826I have several already. I use one often in the wood shop, and a lot at work too.

Thanked: 1936Charlie's shop is only heated by the forge, so dress for the weather. We have been fortunate most of the time and no real cold stuff. Just your personal PPE and you are good to go. If you have a pair of gloves, you might bring them.

Scott summed it up pretty good, no heat, concrete floor can get cold after a while. Wool socks are my friend.
If you are driving I would bring a chair or two, maybe a portable table.
If you are going to be forging bring some clothes and shoes that can stand some some sparks and some heat. Natural fiber clothes and jackets are the best, leather the best for shoes. Hot metal and man made fibers are a dangerous combination. It sucks getting burned it sucks worse when you get burned and you clothes or shoes melt and stick to you also.
I will have some safety glasses, ear plugs, dust mask on hand.
There are not any fancy tools or equipment in my shop, I have just enough to get the job the done and little else. The one thing I have is space.
The meet is definitely people-centric it is the people that make the meet. We have a great group of folks.

My tickets, Esta, passport international drivers license, etc are all in order.
I'll probably print everything i triplicate and keep one set in my luggage, one in my backpack, and the other in my jacket. Because I am paranoid about losing anything. International drivers license is not really necessary because I don't plan to do any driving. But shooting ranges tend to ask something they can hold on to whil you're inside, and I'd rather no leave my passport anywhere but on my body.
Definitely looking forward to seeing everybody. I'll bring 2 wootz razors, I think 2 carbon steel razors, 1 mosaic damascus, and I think 1 little kitchen knife made from a wootz end cut.
Also looking forward to US made hamburgers in all their variations while I am on the road.Til shade is gone, til water is gone, Into the shadow with teeth bared, screaming defiance with the last breath.

Too bad Howard can't deliver your meteor to the meet. We've got to come up with something to get him back down there.
