Could we keep Bruno on European time so he could do his thing early in the morning?
Unfortunately for you, I am pretty much a creature of the night so when I go the US, I typically do not have much of a jet lag and wake around the same time as the rest. I basically fall into a rythm that is 'standard' when the time moves back. It's going back to Belgium after a week that hits me like a hammer

Good points, I have the toaster oven and low temp salts that both run on 110 so tempering should be easy.

I also ordered a pack of good quality 3/32 bits for the meet, it seems this is somewhat relevant to tempering/annealing.

I'd like to try spherodizing in the oven once. I have a method for doing it in my forge, but I'd like to try the oven just to see if I can tell the difference.

Sounds like a plan to me.

That's what I do for my tool steels and damascus. I know I can do so in my forge, but I never bother. Just throw everything in the kiln, press start and forget about it.

When I tried to make reservations a couple of years ago they acted like they didn't want them.

How much a night is it now?

For anyone who has not been there before, it is a perfectly good basic motel. There's no breakfast or pool or gym or massage or laundry service. On the other hand it's clean and the beds are fine and the heaters work and the water is hot and not brown and each room has a small fridge and microwave. It's a pretty good deal for $50 a night, which is the rate its been in the past.
