One night in Oklahoma City on the way down and one night on the way back.
    6 nights in Witchita Falls.
I do the same thing every year.
Makes for a more relaxed trip.

Roy, I fly to Oklahoma City..

The alternative, without a layover is :
    Up at 3:00 am.
Drive to Bradley airport in Connecticut for 6 am. flight.
Get to Oklahoma City around 1:00 pm.
Take shuttle and secure rental car.
Drive to Wichita Falls and check into hotel.

That's a very ambitious schedule and a lot for one day. I'd probably be asleep at the wheel before the Texas state line.

It also gives about a day buffer in case of weather and flight delays.
I've been through that nightmare before...ask TC.

If all goes well I can relax, have a good meal and take it easy.

    Works for me.....

I also flew into OK City Airport for the last meet.

A good friend used her air miles to send me. (It's a long story), anyway I got a ride to Spokane as the carrier she uses doesn't fly out of Walla Walla and spent the night in a motel near the airport. I got up at 4 am, got the shuttle at 4:30 and I forgot what time I flew out, but there were two different layovers and both were a bit long.

That was the only flight that would put me in OK at a decent time for Tc to pick me up.

Anyway I am looking forward to the meet. I have yet to make the reservations but I will be flying out of WW so I'll probably be having multiple hotel reservations too.

I still have plans to be there but I've been holding off on any reservations. I figure Victor will contact me when he starts to figure it all out. If we have to share a room I could deal with that. Whatever saves us both money. I think I might be able to drive for a little while too. LOL.

Shouldn’t be too much issue finding a roomie, Jerry.

I’m still trying to figure out if the wife will let me go. I finally have enough points to possibly get drawn for a zone I want to hunt, I’ve been putting in for the last 6 years. I’m afraid if I get drawn and go to the meet I’ll be without a place to live when I get back.

Hmmm, making plans for me is rather simple.
10 lb bag of cat food distributed into 4 cat food bowls
20 lbs of cat litter in 2 litter boxes
5 gallons of water in 3 big bowls
    kitchen light on
    security system on
ask my neighbor to watch the house for me
reserve a motel room in Kansas city and another in Burkburnett
    Done!
    { I wonder if the Twilite motel will still be open?}
    and the Star Diner?
