If it gets done in the Asheville area, remember that nearby Landrum has the award winning Red Horse Inn bed and breakfast.

I took the wife there for our last anniversary, and if I actaully needed to bring her up to the again, I'd bribe her with that.

I just thought you other guys might need the proverbial carrot to hang in view of the proverbial donkey.

    Default get together

I could do this. How about something in the middle for Ga, Al, TN, and Ky also. Perhaps Knoxville or North Georgia area.
    Gotta get lodging set up
I'm 4 hrs from Asheville so it really isn't too bad for me.

im glad to note that someone else knows where Landrum is...lol...
I guess the Ohio meet is a bench mark for the rest of us, we do need some originality though, asheville has biltmore, there is wine tasting there i believe, ermother than that im not sure what else we could do....help....personally speaking i think asheville would be a cool place and the surrounding states could get there easily enough and we all know where it is...plus as our chum said...take the wife...lol

    just chucking it out there...simon

Well Asheville seems to be a reoccurring theme so lets try this route how many would be opposed to holding it in Asheville? Like Simon said the Biltmore house is here with a nice winery which should help sell it to the ladies as well as the guys. We have the blue ridge parkway with some of the most beautiful scenery around. We have some great micro brewerys and a hopping art scene. So let me know how many would not be willing to see the first one held in Asheville NC.

If its going to be Asheville, May is about the earliest we should try. Mountain weather can be fickle earlier than mid May.

Indeed there is. My wife and I went to the wine tasting at the Biltmore Winery one afternoon and could barely make it back to our hotel. It's the deal of the century.
